All you have to do is look around as you walk through a mall, a school or the airport and it’s fairly obvious that the world has gone mobile. It’s almost impossible to go anywhere without kids, teens and adults talking, texting or surfing on a phone. This shouldn’t be a surprise to anyone, since smart phones and tablets are selling like crazy. Just look at the stats from Apple and Samsung in the last quarter. Apple sold 17 million iPhones and 11 million iPads from July – September 2011. In its first three days of availability, Apple sold 4 million of its new iPhone 4S. Samsung sold 20 million smart phones in the same quarter. HTC and others are also selling like crazy.
According to IDC, the world’s mobile workforce will pass one billion in 2011 and grow to nearly 1.2 billion by 2013. 75% of workers in the United States, 50% of Western Europe and 75% of workers in Japan will use mobile devices to get their work done. The continuing advances in smart phone technology and mobile apps and websites make it easy to do business from your pocket.
