Middle Eastern Banks Need to Comply with New Data Protection Laws (DPL)

A large bank in the Middle East needs to comply with its country’s new Data Protection Law (DPL). The new law governs how personal data is collected, used, and protected. It gives individuals rights over their data and requires organizations to appoint a Data Protection Officer (DPO). The bank currently does not have a security application in place that can identify, classify, and protect its sensitive data. Regulators give the bank a window of time to implement a solution before imposing fines.
