What is Hacktivism?

Hacktivism is the use of hacking techniques to promote political or social agendas. Hacktivists infiltrate or disrupt computer systems, websites, and networks to draw attention to their causes, protest against organizations or governments, or achieve specific objectives. Their activities can include defacing websites, launching denial-of-service attacks, leaking sensitive information, and other forms of digital sabotage. Hacktivism blends the skills of hacking with the motivations of activism, aiming to influence public opinion or effect change through cyber means.
