What is Cloud Database?

Cloud database is a database that runs on a cloud computing platform, providing scalable and flexible data storage and management solutions. Unlike traditional on-premises databases, cloud databases are hosted on remote servers and accessed via the internet. They offer advantages such as on-demand scalability, automated backup and recovery, high availability, and reduced infrastructure management costs. Cloud databases can be managed by the user (Database as a Service, DBaaS) or fully managed by the service provider. This setup allows organizations to efficiently handle large volumes of data, enhance performance, and focus on their core business activities without worrying about underlying hardware maintenance.
